I write - books, short stories - and was looking to bring them to life on the big screen. Some are still at the concept stage, while a few already exist as short synopses where the overall narrative is outlined, including the beginning, the central plot development, and the ending. Most of these ideas fall within the science fiction adventure genre.

I’m curious what the usual approach is today when presenting or pitching a story idea for a film or TV project.

Is it typically done through a pitch deck, a short treatment, a series bible, or some combination of these, possibly including visual elements such as storyboard frames or a short comic-book style sequence to help present the story?

I would also appreciate hearing what formats or approaches are currently considered the most common and widely accepted when presenting an original project.
