The Musical Body in the Era of AI

Hi everyone! Thrilled to be joining the AICFG!

My name is Benjamin Pavez, and my journey into AI filmmaking comes from an unconventional path: I am a classically trained violinist and a former student

at the Théâtre du Soleil.

For me, the biggest challenge in generative cinema isn't the pixels—it's the rhythm and the human soul.

My work focuses on bridging the gap between elite physical performance and synthetic media. I specialize in Video-to-Video (V2V) workflows where I use my background in music and theater to 'conduct' the AI, ensuring that every movement and every cut follows a precise rhythmic architecture.

What I bring to the Guild:

  • Screenwriting & Narrative Design: I have several developed concepts specifically structured for AI production.

  • Actor-Driven Realism: Using V2V to maintain character consistency and organic motion.

  • Musical Montage: A methodology where the edit is a musical composition (learned from the great Jean-Jacques Lemêtre).

I’m currently looking to collaborate with directors, visual artists, and fellow AI creators who are as obsessed as I am with visual consistency and high-fidelity storytelling.

If you have a project that needs a strong narrative skeleton or a rhythmic touch, let’s connect! Looking forward to building the future of cinema with all of you.

In this project, I focused on character stability and performance-driven motion. I trained a custom LoRA for the singer to maintain likeness throughout the piece, while utilizing V2V (Video-to-Video) workflows to drive the animation. The female lead was generated from scratch with AI, with her movements also guided by V2V to ensure an organic, human rhythm.
